I will make the following Disc Golf Resolutions for 2009,

1. Throw my first 900 rated tournament round.
2. Get my first 350 foot drive.
3. get at least one ace.

and my main one.
4. be good enough to play intermediate competitively in 2010.

1. Break 300 feet flat ground no wind.
2. Actually practice putting.
3. Make the local "Ryder Team" and play against Columbia, mo team.

I got my 2. and 3. mixed up.

2. I want to average 350 driving.
3. Get my first ace.

My DG resolution is to throw all rated rounds 935+ from here on out. Also play at a minimm one tourney a month in 09. Oh & to finish dyeing the two boxes of discs sitting next to my comp, & sell them & get a plotter!

My resolution is to not lose any more distance on my drives and maybe bag another 20 courses in 2009. Another ace would be an added bonus.

I'm going to try for 10 tournaments in '09, and I want to play at least one as a 'pro' just to get the experience.

my goal is to play in my first few tournaments
to get my first ace
to average 400 on drives
to throw backhand as well as I throw forehand
To learn how to putt consistently and find a putter I can stick with
And most importantly to beat my older brother in a round, well only have a few opportunities, so Ill really need to prepare for this one, and Im way in the background currently

God, I'm not asking for much!

Hmmmmmmmmmmm! New Year's resolution and goal, huh?

How about:

MAKE ONE PUTT! ANY PUTT! I DON'T CARE, JUST ONE!

Woodpecker<< never sets the bar too high so he won't be disappointed.

1. Work on my pull through and add more snap to my drives, which will also help reduce my slight griplock problem.

2. Get my bag to just where I want it; I've recently been trying out all kinds of different discs, I want to hone it down to exactly what works for me.

3. Get waaaay more D on my drives.

4. Get a bunch of tournies in, sanctioned or not.

My disc golf resolution for 2009 is to not throw any more discs into the ponds at the Rocky Mount Sports Complex.

I think I'll buy myself a Dragon anyway though.

1. To add 5 feet to my putting range.
2. Play in all the gcfsda course challenges.
3. Play in the disc n dat bluegrass open.
4. Use the power grip til i am comfortable with it.

1. Backhand 300'+ w/ consistency, Forehand also needs some consistency.
2. Make putts on the course, no problem in practice.
3. Narrow down discs in my bag, way too many.
4. Stop buyin discs. Unless some new big bad overstable driver comes out or I lose a fav.
5. Join PDGA and do some tourneys!
6. Hit some new courses.
7. Play more!

  1. Warm before EVERY round.
  2. Play at least 10 new courses.
  3. Review each new course on DGCR.
  4. Do my first dye job.
  5. Join my local league.
  6. Assist in the development of a new course in my area.

That's my list. Tim, is there a way this thread could be re-posted at the end of the year so we can all check and see how we did? That would be cool. I'm sure I'll forget about it:rolleyes:, it would be neat to see it at the end of 2009.

I will leave each course I play better than I found it.

That's a good one. I try to do this whenever I can too. The more that we, as individuals, help out with course maintenance the better our courses will continue to be.

I plan to stop obsessing over distance. I'm right around 300' on my drives now. At 41 years of age, as a very part time player, I can deal with that.

I resolve to work on my putting... the definite weakness of my game.

I plan on playing in my first tournament.

And I will definitely take advantage of every opportunity that I get to play this fantastic game.

1. I will try to limit my disc buying to only 1 per month.
2. I want 1 Ace.
3. I want to play and review every course in TN.
4. I want to play courses in 2 more states (currently at 15).
5. I will try to transform my practice basket into a practice basket, instead of it being just a holder for old putters that don't go in.
6. I will begin strength training- not so I can throw farther, but so I can carry more discs!!
