I guess that makes me wonder....is the striker considered a fairway or a highspeed driver....

Its speed 9 on DGC so fairway.

Really, it doesnt matter all that much. If you put it in with distant drivers, I will count it but it would more likely have a better shot if it is being counted all in the same category.

Just so people know....a disc can't be the best overstable/stable/ and understable disc....unless you are talking about a disc that starts out overstable...gets beat in to stable and understable states of wear over time as well.

This would be more interesting if you started a rookie of the year disc thread instead of restarting the same old BS best disc arguments.....I am curious if anyone can generate a rookie list of discs for only 2009 and start a best rookie disc thread for putters mids and drivers.....!

meh... dont really care what the best is from 09 unless they can unseat previous discs, then it gets interesting.

This is less about the year and more about having a more current list of favorites.

no offense intended, but i think what you've done is create a "what do you throw" thread without quite enough restrictions/parameters to yield any really dispositive results.

there are folks voting the same disc as over/stable/under for the same category, as wadly hobbins pointed out, for just one example.

it's a neat thread idea, just not really shaping up to a "best of..." list, imo.

yeah, but what can you do. Regardless of any stipulations, someone will come in and just do their favorite disc for every category. I know I avoided nominating the Leopard while I think it is the ultimate do it all fairway driver, but I dont think it is the BEST of anything, just good at everything.

I use it for distance as well, but based on speeds he posted, it's 9 or less (fairway). Hell I can put that out just as far as a surge most times. Still a fantastic disc, and as I told someone else in another thread, the teebird is still used in distance competitions.

I was going by marshallstreet. I knew valk was speed 9 so I went everything at that level and lower

yep. flick is also listed as a speed 9 on discgolfcenter, but on marshallstreet it's same level.
