It must be exhausting being just a terrible human.

If people with similar backwards, uninformed opinions and beliefs take over the PDGA, I look forward to disc golf being even more of a laughing stock amongst the general population in the near future.

Good luck getting local parks and governments on board with funding/permission, when they see outright bigotry from leadership positions.

The funny thing is, it's not exhausting. It's the path of least resistance, which our brains are wired to follow when we're not actively trying not to do so. It's trivially easy to be terrible. I see it every day. People casually toss something horrifying my way, then just walk away (or close the browser tab) while whistling and smiling, and forget it ever happened, because they have already moved along to their next thing.

Wanting people who do bad things to feel bad about it is a fool's dream. It's clinging to the notion that this world is an inherently just one. It's not. Some people have to work their asses off to make it just, over the indifference of others.

If doing the right thing was easy, everyone would do it.

I think the discussion is of great merit. I don't think this is the place. Perhaps a new thread in the watercooler sections would be more appropriate.

You don't like the organization that formed the Science Group and are suggesting that it is incorrect information. I accept that is a possibility. If you're suggesting that, surely you can show me somewhere that I can read correct/further information?

I know you are not being rude. I don't think this is the right thread for this discussion.

My statement was only that FINA is a self serving organization, that has demonstrated little to no interest in using science to keep their sport clean and honest. Perhaps that has changed. I said nothing about the science they present to support their decision. If FINA is presenting published, peer reviewed science to base their decisions on, feel free to cite those here.

Honestly, this is the definition of their "science group".

No, I am afraid this is indeed not enough for me. I have zero faith or interest, in basing the decisions that impact the future of my sport, on the above. What exactly are experts and specialists? This is not science. They have set standards for eligibility without ANY citation of evidence or science.
