Plastic that you would overpay for?

The only disc that I won't throw, I bought for $20 as a fundraiser from Dave Feldberg himself. It'll go back to Nationals next year to get more signatures. I'll never pay for a certain plastic/type just to hang on the wall because I really like x disc. Spending more than $20 on a disc (unless special dyed) is ridiculous in my opinion. If something goes OOP so I can't get them for normal prices anymore, I stop throwing that disc.

I agree with all of that. I would never overpay for OOP plastic - if I don't have backups, it's time to find another disc to fill that slot.

However, I would overpay for a silver or gold glopto Fuse or River, though I don't know if such a thing even exists. The glopto plastic feels amazing, and in those colors, I think it's about the most bad@ss looking disc I've ever seen.

Oh yeah. I would definitely overpay for those.

I did get a Z storm (OOP) for normal prices, so I was fine with that :hfive:

Ill over pay for first run pearly gators. There my weskness. It doesnt bother me abit to drop $100 on one. But then again i dont know what there worth. But to me $100 is fine. And i throw the **** outta em. Hell honestly i overpay alot cheapest disc i carry in my 14 disc bag was 35. But i throw them for both bragging rights and that old school consistentcy

cheapest disc in my bag is $6, most expensive is $18 I think. Most are 8 - 16.

I have no problem paying alot for a particular disc. I have a good job and few hobbies other than disc golf. I don't see what the problem is in paying $30, $50, or more for a disc. I look at how much use I can get from a disc and when you divide that by the cost it really isn't that expensive. Perhaps I have a different viewpoint because all of my previous hobbies were really expensive by comparison.

Lol my fav. Is when some random dude is like wow man that disc is easily worth $100 bucks then i chuck it into a tree like and now, not so much!

Ive got brand new ce tbs still n bags lol n yep ill throw $125 at em all day. I gots a good job with plenty of ot. So y not

I overpaid for my Vibrams (see current av), but I was able to get custom colors. That made it well worth it.

Also overpaid for a proline Firebird, to replace one I lost, but that was for pure nostalgia.

Other than that, I try not to overpay. Chances are I'll lose it or stop using it anyway.

oh and I would overpay for all my old ce plastic, and oop plastic I GAVE away to friends in the early 2000's :( so much good plastic given away without knowing it would ever be worth $$.

I hear ya on this one, big time. I must have given away 30 bar stamped this or that, and that's just the tip of the iceberg.

I've bought a few Champ Cobras, but never paid over $30 for one. I love these discs, they are OOP, but I buy them because I use them. This is the only reason that I would pay more for a disc. I currently have 3, but try to buy them when they are available.

I'll overpay for pearly Orcs (don't tell Booter, I don't think he noticed yet) if they're in my weight and sexy eagles and sexy cobras.
