Post a NOT cool disc golf photo

Wonder if they were able to save that house. Looked like the flames were licking it there.

That is one hot looking fire.

Widow makers anyone?

You can just barely make out my red disc under the X trees.

In Charlotte we cut them out before anyone can snap a picture!

On a more serious note, here's an article a lying tree hugger had posted in a local newspaper trying to get a disc golf course pulled, claiming damage to trees caused by metal discs.

That's some pretty shady crap... not to mention wonderful fact checking by the "journalist."

Pros:
- Good use of elevation. Risk/reward on laying up vs. going for the putt. Significant rollaway potential here.
Cons:
- Only one basket.
- Safety issues abound as course plays dangerously close to a wildfire.
- Loud firemen.
Other Thoughts:
- Not a destination course, but solid if you're in the area and surrounded by fire.

I bet putts are more likely to stick to the chains on that basket, and all your Champ plastic feels gummy.

Yep, that's a dead blacksnake that some idiot hung over the basket, #7 at Zebulon.
And, he didn't even have it pointing to the next tee, double idiot!:thmbdown:

Yes, I took it off and disposed of it. Families play this course!

In nearly the furthest corner of the campus, in the very back of an enormous isolated parking lot, this 50s/60s yr old guy decided to post up this close to the tee pad (and also a well used bike path) to sun himself.
This picture does not due justice to the amount of hair he had on display, or the general creepy vibe that this all put off...

This is hole 9 at Kitsap Fairgrounds. The basket is blind from the tee, and when we threw and got down there, this is what we found. I'm pretty sure my disc hit the tent because it was lying right next to it. A couple of girls were in there and one came out looking a little confused, we'd woken them up. They really had no clue they were on a DG course. I was surprised they hadn't tried to grill something in the basket! Not completely uncool, though...

Jeff, were they hot?

LOL, I only saw the one that came out of the tent. Not bad, keeping in mind she was rudely awakened (after sleeping on the ground all night) by discs hitting her tent, so she wasn't at her best.

Now there's a hole you want to take strokes on...

*cue comic rimshot*

Bogey, the bad pun thread is THAT way.
