For fun and a record of what my bag was at the start of the year.
Years playing/experience: 2 years and change
Throwing Style: RHFH, some RHBH
Golf Distance (avg/max*) for putter/mid/driver: BH Mid 240/260, FH Driver 270/300
Putters:
G Star Aviar 173g – regular putting
Star Aviar 171g – over 50' putts, BH approaches or short holes
Champ Aviar 175g – touchy, short FH approaches or short holes
Mids:
Star Mako3 180g – straight or left-turning technical FH under 225'
Champ Gator 175g – go-to FH approach disc
ESP Buzzz 173g – anything straight BH and FH, plus FH flip-ups and turnovers
Z Buzzz – same but can take a little more juice than the ESP
C-line MD3 180g – controlled BH drives
Fairway Drivers:
C-Line FD 175g – shorter FH flex or straight BH drives
Neutron Volt 173g – FH workhorse driver for straight, hyzer, and slight flip-ups
DX Archangel 150g (really beat up) – insanely flippy disc only for patent-pendings
GStar Valkyrie 166g – FH flip-to-turn, BH flip-up or flat-to-turn
Sexybird 175g – strong headwinds, FH skip shots, spike hyzers, FH rollers
Distance Drivers:
Star Tern 170g – FH flip-up to flat or flat-to-turn. Sometimes a Shryke is more predictable, but not as good at the flip-up
Star Boss 175g – max distance FH forceover flex, FH flat-to-fade, thumber disc
My main thoughts are 1) I need to get better form/distance before I buy more drivers, and 2) some lighter discs might give me more bag flexibility.
