I was looking up Google's patent search inspired by the Arroyo Disc Sports Vortex/DGA Mach X conundrum and found this gem:

The present invention is attached to the center of bottom of a Frisbee golf disc and comprises of a compartment with holes. The compartment holds an effervescent tablet that reacts with water to produce bubbles. The water is able to reach the effervescent tablet through the holes. The bubbles from the reaction of the effervescent tablet escape from the holes and rise to the surface of the water to indicate position for easy retrieval.

A portable Frisbee Golf disc washing assembly includes a carrying case, which also houses extra discs. The carrying case is rectangular-shaped, has a flap cover, and has sidewalls that are zippered open or closed. The interior surface of the case is slightly padded, and the exterior surface has pockets monolithically formed there with. An adjustable carrying strap is included. The assembly further includes a cleaning mechanism stored within the carrying case that has a pair of interchangeable cleaning pads. A crank handle is attached to rotatable gears that rotate the pads. The handle is attached to a main center gear. There are additional gears on each side of the mechanism that assist in the movement of the pads. Turning the handle rotates the main gear, and engages the side gears, which rotates the cleaning pads in opposing directions

The pockets receive individual flying discs. The holster is slideably attached to a belt. The belt is configured to wrap around the waist of a disc golf player. The belt secures the holster such that the opening of the holster is aligned to the waist. The holster is also attached to a strap. The strap is configured to wrap around the thigh of a disc golf player. The strap secures the lower end of the pouch to the thigh such that the pouch does not flail during play.

Hmmm. Seems like the bubbles would be trapped under the disc. By the time the seltzer created enough bubbles to escape to the surface, the disc may float to the surface, seems like that could be even more effective.
