my overhand throws, both tomahawk and my long distance thumber, was one of my key throws this year. i was able to far overshoot my distance expectations but still need more aim.

my overhand disc all year was a really beat dx valk

now i'm using an epic

In order of progression:

150g Z Flick

175g Opto XXX

175g Opto Trident

150g Champion Firebird

These are all for thumbers. I never throw tomahawks unless it is strictly for getting out of trouble. I just do not have the consistency for tomahawks nor know what disc would work for me. I am decent at thumbers but only for 270 feet.

For me Fh and Tommys are only a last ditch effert in a bad spot, I have an old INNOVA [P-38?] that was my one trick poney. months ago I used my Core, now I retired the old INNOVA that I carried for 25 yrs.

I use an Epic too! :hfive:

Don't throw overhand unless there's absolutely no other shot, but when I do

Star Wriath
Champ Orc

GL XXX. Went from using thumbers for trouble only to being able to get them accurately in the 300' range. I can now also hit some different lines and angles with them. Used tomuse a Firebird. That is good too, but not quite as long as my XXX 'Porn' disc.

Star Monster for the thumber. I as well do not throw a very good tommy but I can throw a pancake tommy with my Wizard that is good up to like 120 ft or so.

tee rex all the way, but i have tossed some other disc out of frustration since im slightly more accurate overhand

150 g ESP Flick- Driver/"distance" thumber. (I use the term very loosely here)
165 g 11X Firebird- All beat to hell; used mostly for escape shots or shorter shots

170g Z Pred 2006-2010 first disc considered for any overhand shots.

my pred or my force...depends on how quick I need it to flip

175 z flick 320-350ft tomahawks 300-330ft thumbers with huge "kick outs" left and right
175 z force 250-310 ft tomahawks the more beat the less " kick out" and better accuracy.
2010 had two tomahawk aces with z forces.....
