Looking good thanks to the drought in the region so the park’s really been able to keep up with cutting the grass this summer.
Hills covered with tall pine trees make for a challenging course. Red tees are shorter and more forgiving while the black tees are longer and tough. Course also has two full sets of 18 baskets—blues are shorter and golds (yellow) are longer, so there are actually 4 permanent configurations to choose from.
From I-12 in Covington, take US 190 N to State Highway 25. About 22 miles north of the US 190/Hwy 25 intersection, take a right on Fisher Road, then an immediate left on to Bogue Chitto Road which will bring you to the park entrance. Once in the park take a right, then after 0.8 miles, turn right onto a gravel road with a sign for the Mountain Bike trailhead.
First tees are immediately to the right when you get to the gravel parking lot.
