Pros:

*Baskets catch well.
*Baskets are numbered.
*Course is mostly away from other park activities.
*Multiple lines exist for every hole.
*Course is under mature trees with very little understory.
*Course is in a really pretty part of the park.
*Cool wildflowers.
*The map in the links section is useful.
*The elevation changes add interest to holes.

Cons:

*A midrange or putter is a suitable driver for all holes.
*The course loses its flow between holes 7 and 8 (see map in links section).
*Hole #9 drives down the walking path.
*While multiple lines exist for each hole, you are not forced to deviate from throwing simple lines.
*Tee markers are flush with ground and can be difficult to find (especially when ground vegetation has been allowed to get tall).
*Tee markers contain no information. The only signage is the numbers on the baskets.
*No bathrooms in park.

Other Thoughts:

This is a nine hole course in a city park and not a championship course on dedicated land. The land chosen for the course is quiet and pretty. The layout of the course allows for a wide variety of throwing styles. Overall, the course is fun and worth throwing on if you happen to be in Poplar Bluff.
