This course is WIDE open. If you really want to get out and practice some longer drives, this is not a bad course to fulfill that need.

The neighborhood nearby isn't bad either. It's located in the middle of a housing area that has a couple of channels from the bay nearby. It gives the area a neat ambiance.

Unfortunately the cons significantly outweigh the pros for Billish.

First, there aren't any of the tee boxes still left in the park. In fact, you really can't tell where to throw from at all. I would recommend taking the map from this site and try to estimate where it is indicating that you throw from (on a positive note, there is plenty of room for improvisation if you want to make up tee boxes).

Next, the majority of baskets are in a state of significant disrepair. At least 5 of the 9 baskets are rusted to the point where chains are dangling below the baskets.

There are ZERO technical shots on this course if you play by the map-designated approaches. There are one or two baskets located within a group of palm trees, but the difficulty level around these baskets are fairly minimal.

Finally, like most of the area around the beach, this course is basically a sand dune. While there are trees, grass, and bushes everywhere, you may find your footing to be a bit precarious on most shots.

If you live in the area, or happen to be nearby, I would absolutely recommend playing at Billish; however, I would probably say that about any course that I happen to be near. I would not recommend that anyone drive any discernible distance to give this course a try, because it is probably not worth the gas.
