Also, how is the double dragon. I have the right sequence down?

Sequence is slightly better.

Kick is still not really pulling you arm into the backswing. Would tweak:

1. Your rear knee is now much better leveraged inside your ankle (good!), but it could still be slightly better, so I'd focus there first. This will also help you:

2. Kick the leg back straighter/less knee bend. The leg also doesn't need to go that high.

3. That lat stretch you discovered should be part of the move. You should feel the greatest stretch in your lat just before the leg lands in the plant. It will get easier maybe after 1 and 2.

4. You might need a little more side bend but start with 1, 2, and 3 in that order.

Quick question, when you do this motion. Do you push out with triceps/forearm or just pull through with triceps and it should feel automatic?

I tried for fun to push more out to try to get that healthy 11o clock extension and it seemed to help.

But its probably more about posture and balance weightshift etc?

Im just curious for future training investement.

( planning next off season already )

@Brychanus
Hit it like using a hammer or axe. Use the tool's weight/momentum and then add to it.

I have a feeling im less stuck in transition/xstep now then before or is it just me?

Here is an example, but im not sure.
Feels more fluid and more like a crowjump/x-step mix where my body is moving forward without getting stuck for some reason i dont know. ( ive done some hershyzer/buttwipe drills, maybe thats why)

My x step is also shorter then before, i have no idea why this is happening either.

Im still doing double dragons working on the tilt.

Youtube dude. This video player sucks. Better camera angles/framing would help as well.

Question

Here i have 2 standstill variations.

1. im not lifting my front foot heel at all

2. im loading more and lifting heel

Witch one do you think generates more power?

I feel like alternativ 2 is the best, but im no expert.

3. how is my doubledragon looking, is it getting better at all? ( not bending the leg at all is impossible for me 😅

2 gives you more range of motion.

DD you are stuck on the right foot in backswing(or lefty bh forward swing) and tipping over top.

Alright i will work on DD, one question though. About my run up.

My first step with right foot during my run-up goes sideways and then i end up going a little left after that.

Should i focus on walking straight forward, it could help me get more seated and balanced?

Or does it not matter?

I dont see any other players doing it, so i have to ask

Here is 2 examples

Looks fine, Calvin does similar step when he starts off facing target, but often starts little more sideways facing.

ive done the drills and worked really hard to try to pull of this ( sit down more/buttwipe/hogan move)

I think its alot better, but im not sure.

My friend said i must have unlocked something and i could feel myself falling more backwards into plant and internally rotate my hips to create somewhat more speed.

The pig went flying 400 feet today so i had to do a form check ( pig is a stable putter with no glide)

What do you think, progress on the buttwipe?

Just wanted to say that it looks like your new stride pattern is causing more (good) internal torque building up in your X-step transition and backswing.

SW might add something else, but I think you will not want to stop working on your double dragon. The balance and sequence gains you could continue to make there look pretty clear to me in the long run.

Thanks, DD is the one drill i do the most and its a part of my warm up ( since your recommendation a while ago)

Though under season i dont dare to do that big change with sadlowski and ridethebull/spinetilt etc, but doing dd's is fine since it kinda slowly makes everything better.

Thats how it feels like at least!

It really is a brilliant life long drill.

In solidarity, right now I am using it to help me get less flat-footed when I move. Always something you can work on, DD is a good framework for it all.

Looks like your left foot is stepping in the way/west and then you thrust the rear hip/hump the goat. It will probably feel weird at first to step more east with the left foot xstep and stride right foot straight into plant.

Note how Paige's rear femur angles deeper clockwise dropping into the plant, while your femur is angling counter clockwise. Her rear knee bends west while the hip drops straight down.

Practice with a raised rear foot and dropping straight down into the plant. A cinder block would work well and can bring that to a field instead of using stairs.

Alright, i went searching for a cinderblock and took it to the course.

Everyone think im nuts but i dont mind.

I dont know how it looks, seems better though.
I also did double dragon, trying not to get stuck.

Also small experiment, to throw from left side of teepad to create a very narrow corridor so i cant go towards left while throwing ( i got a little unbalanced and tipped over alot )

Last clip is me trying to adapt the cinderblock drill into my throw to get the right angle on femur and hips like paige.

Do i have anything good going on here?

Cinderblock - if starting from hershyzer you need to windup more before starting forward move. Bend knees and hips turning your butt further back and bringing your head further back. Try to keep your rear toes on the block after stride and planting.

Double Dragon - looks flat footed and feet spinning out. Need your feet more plantar flexed and toes digging into the ground to resist them spinning.

Throws stride looking better with feet closer together. Your shoulders are rather flat/ horizontal, so you could coil more vertical.
