Beginner friendly 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Oct 5, 2019 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Front 9 is very wide open and makes it beginner friendly. Course map at every hole. Putting area to practice puts. Multiple tees each color coded with flags. Challenging course with some longer holes and some shorter. Most holes are flat were a couple either go up hill or down.

Cons:

Fairways are cut very short and can lose discs. Very busy around course with runners and car traffic, have to watch before throwing because holes are over roads.

Best of NW PA 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jan 8, 2019 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

nice Mach V baskets
three sets of concrete tees offers a variety of difficulties
large course map at beginning and at least one sign per hole
3 practice baskets for putting and looks like 2 more practice for approaches
the course is always very well maintained, along with the rest of Buhl Park.
parking galore
park has many other amenities, dog park, walking paths, fitness stations
hole 18 finishes by a nice lake

Cons:

lots of pedestrians walking around as course is mostly outlined by walking paths (even on packed days this really isn't a huge problem, sometimes you just have to wait a minute and let someone pass by)
few open holes that are flat out boring (2 and 3 come to mind)

Other Thoughts:

elevation wise mostly flat, but there is a uphill wooded hole and a downhill descent into a huge open field hole.
not all open holes, there are some fun wooded holes early on and at the end.
Overall you aren't gonna find a nicer course in the area of NW PA or NE OH. Combine this with nearby The Pines to get your woods fix and it's a great combo.

Bombers dream course!!! 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 15, 2016 Played the course:once

Pros:

This course is located in a HUGE beautiful well maintained park with amentities galore. Between parking lot and #1 tee box theirs a nice big map of the course layout on the side of the bathroom building. Not a lot of trees to get in your way being in more of a wide open park. This course is probably one of the nicest maintained courses I've payed on. If you like wide open disc golf holes that you absolutely have to bomb then this course is definitely for you. This course is 8 minutes away from The Pines DGC.

Cons:

The whole course seemed rather swampy, even in wide opened fields of play. Very BUSY park especially on nice days so be wary of cars and pedestrians when throwing. Corse has grass tee pads which are a little wet and muddy. Cement tee pads would be a BIG improvement. At least with cement tee pads your drive off the tee could have some traction when the rest of the course isn't so forgiving in the not muddy part.

Other Thoughts:

Other than being pretty wet and not having cement tee pads I can't say too many bad things about Buhl Park. It is such a gorgeous park there isn't many things to complain about. With some cement tee pads and some aeration on the swampy fairways this course could be world-class.

2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Aug 21, 2015 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Everything. This is a well maintained course. The park is very pretty. Nice layout on the course, the front 9 is shorter with the back 9 having some longer holes. My buddies and I drive over here to play about twice a week. One of the nicest courses around here.

Cons:

A few more signs for tee location's could be used but after you play it once, there is no problem finding your way around!

Other Thoughts:

When the park host's larger events, a couple of the holes are tough to play because people park by the baskets around the amphitheater.

Pristine 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 14, 2015 Played the course:once

Pros:

Primed and well kept like a ball golf course.

Challenging, well thought out holes despite a lack of elevation changes.

Easy to find and great for beginners

Cons:

Two holes seem to be thrown in to get 18.

Lack of signage, but that is changing.

Other Thoughts:

Really liked the course and see a lot of potential.
