Clearwater is a great 9 hole addition to Springfield and eugene area. It's got good parking, and a practice basket right next to the parking lot. The first tee is easily spottable, and finding the tee pads wasn't a problem. Multiple pin placements, and good innova baskets. Good mix of hole lengths requiring accurate throws and some holes to throw the drivers on. Good mix of forehand and backhand holes. Baskets have hole number on them helping navigation and playing right pin

Course is good for all skill levels but there's some sticker brushes on a few holes newer players might not enjoy. Hole 9 end back towards the middle of the course so layout is fairly weird. From tee box 3 you can see multiple baskets make sure to play right one. Hole 8 has a pretty tight line, and puninshing rough if not in fairway.

I feel they had room to make 12 hole course here which would make layout a little better without the few walkouts and flow better. However beggars can't be choosers and thank you for getting this course in

Clearwater Park is a solid little 9 hole that plays away from most park activities. There is a popular running/bicycling path that meanders by the course but I don't think you ever have to wait for them.

There is a course map on the back side of the kiosk by the restrooms. The course starts about 50' past the kiosk. There is a laminated sign here pointing to the course. There is also a laminated tee sign at hole 1. By the time you read this, those signs will probably be gone. The course has concrete pads although they are a little difficult to locate. The baskets are Discatchers with the yellow band and small numbers.

# 1 is your basic 275' hyser shot.
# 2 is 222' with some trees.
# 3 is 268' and bends right to a basket visible in the trees.
# 4 I never located the tee pad and the basket is in the middle of the field.
# 5 is 385' throwing across the field to a basket sitting in the only opening in the tree line ahead.
# 6 is my favorite hole here. It plays 311' straight with a cool basket placement in the trees.
# 7 is is 331' and you have to hit a 12' wide gap about 50' off the tee.
# 8 is 320' and fairly narrow fairway.
# 9 is a 300' right bending hole with a narrow opening to the green.

Walk back on the trail and cross the bridge to return to the kiosk and your car or your bike.

Who in blue blazes thinks that laminated signs will survive in a public park? Is this the same naive person who thought a self serve beer garden would be a good idea?

Not a lot of creativity here.

The terrain is pretty bland.

No water or elevation.

It looks like a better park for riding bikes than throwing discs at baskets.

There are lots of possibilities for signs that are more permanent than laminated pieces of paper. Try visiting another disc golf somewhere and looking at their signage. Try contacting the local club. Try some research.

In conclusion, this is pretty average course with way below average signage. It's worth playing if you're a local. The Eugene area is finally catching up to the rest of Oregon in regards to disc golf courses. It's been slow going compared to the rest of the state. How about getting Uncle Phil to build Eugene a state of the art disc golf course with some of his Nike $$$?

A nice wooded 9 hole course next to a beautiful river. Nice clean bathrooms and trash bins at parking area.

Tons of Blackberries and thorny vines. They are everywhere and you will be in them if you are not on the fairway. Hole 9 has a lot of Stinging nettle all along the right hand side of the fairway. These conditions are worse during the warm months.

Trying to coordinate with Willamalane to upgrade pathway to holes 8 and the pin at 9. Very muddy and steep during wet weather.
