Eagle Eye is lots of fun 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jan 1, 2013 Played the course:once

Pros:

Lots of challenging holes.
Many different shots needed. definitely a plus
Unique holes that require an accurate shot
Short technical holes and long bomber holes, but all par 3s.
The feeling of playing a temporary course with a bunch of locals was awesome. Absolutely great people and a fun course

Cons:

No tee signs or teepads
Only a temp course, baskets arent there unless someone from the stinging jellies disc golf club plans and sets it up.
next to an active military base, so don't try to take pictures of it, you might get in trouble (seriously dont even try it)

Other Thoughts:

a great place to play with in a scheduled round with a bunch of people.
I played on new years day, random draw triples, with a side bet for cash for best overall score, of course! fun times! play this course if you get a chance!

Other Thoughts:

This is a brand new course still in the planning stages. Not quite developed enough for Pros and Cons, but certainly wort saying a few words.

The space here is beautiful. I was lucky enough to meet up with some locals that have a set group of objects and tee areas to play--otherwise there are no markings.

The course that these guys played was a lot of fun though. A lot of elevation changes, some challenging distances, and a good mix of long open holes and shorter, tree filled holes. Also some spectacular views of the ocean and old Monterey. The wind was a significant factor the day I played, so bring some overstable discs. Also, the layout I played had some gnarly OB to watch out for (thick woods, black berry, etc).

A little tough to find though. If you're coming from the 1, stay on lighthouse through the tunnel. When you get to Reeside Ave, make a U-turn. Private Bolio is the 1st right, then Corporal Ewing is an immediate left. Otherwise you'll be driving onto a military base (and expect some confused looks from the guard if you tell him you're looking for the disc golf course).

Final thoughts: a great place to play if you're with someone who knows the layout. If not, still beautiful, but you'll have to pick your own targets. Thanks to the group that I played with.
