Beautifully maintained property

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 3, 2022 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

-The main thing everyone will notice is how well manicured this place is. It really does make it easy to play
-The facilities are also really good. Drinks and snacks (tasty sausage rolls) are available from the hut and so are toilets
-Big high quality teepads
-Some really memorable holes. Two back to back ace runs in the middle of the round are especially fun
-There is some great use of elevation and the trees available in places
-It is really fun and has the opportunity to throw a range of shot shapes

Cons:

-I think the layout lacks a sense of risk/reward. I never felt in danger of the OB greens, and felt that some holes lacked in artificial OB where it was needed. The par 4s especially all feel very soft
-It is massively open for most of the course. I think a certain level of distance circumvents most of the challenge

Other Thoughts:

I had really nice experiences playing through/letting other cards play through from disc, foot and traditional golf. They seem to have really nailed the coexistance of all three here.

Feels like Golf - and that's a good thing 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 25, 2021 Played the course:once

Pros:

The layout makes fantastic use of the property. Good baskets, good teepads and it felt like a "destination" course.

Some really memorable holes, wide open, well cut fairways which makes a nice change from the usual UK courses, and there's very little in the way of public on the property which makes the course feel private and exclusive.

Cons:

Pretty expensive (£12) and only open at limited times as the land is shared with a golf club

Other Thoughts:

Well worth a round. Can't wait to play it again!
