Sort of surprised 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 1, 2019 Played the course:once

Pros:

+ really decent concrete tee pads on every hole
+ Decent catching DGA baskets
+ A good mix of woodedness with open opportunities to air it out on some holes
+ Fun and enjoyable, despite most of the holes being on the shorter side.
+ Easy to follow navigation throughout the course
+ Rather compact and can be a quick play
+ Great map at beginning of course to provide a good lay of the round
+ Pleasantly surprised by the variety of holes and shots required
+ More open holes were well maintained
+ Disc golf section of park seemed to be exclusively for discing purposes

Cons:

- not many long holes requiring long drives
- wooded holes were sort of ridiculously tight and seemed under attended to
- For some, the lack of wooded holes (or the lack of maintenance on said wooded holes) could be an issue

Other Thoughts:

When I first noticed this course on DGCR I wasn't expecting much, but this course really surprised me! It was less open than I was expecting and held more variety and interest than I thought it would. I was somewhat impressed. Although it is not a destination course, it is certainly worth checking out if along the way.

Worth a Short Drive 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Nov 17, 2017 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

- Custom Chainstar baskets
- Good rubber T-Pads
- Informative Signs
- Good land for Disc Golf
- Nice park, seems maintained
- Short, but nice mix of lines

Cons:

- The flow seems forced on a few holes - combining a few short holes and adding a few longer holes would fix this
- Didnt utilize Lake or Extra land to have longer holes on better property (behind hole 6 is what looks like the best land on the property, could have several holes by that creek, and behind the lake has great land not utilized)
- Poke and Pray on a few holes.
- Forrest not worked in or brush cleared enough yet in some places

Other Thoughts:

Starts off with 3 short holes where you start to think you are going to birdy every hole here. Then hole 4,5,6 are challenging, and things get more interesting. Hole 9 is throwing into a tight wooded tunnel, then turning right at the end. Had a complete fluke drive make it under the pin, and then what I thought a perfect drive punished and kicked way into the woods. Hole 11 I believe you are basically throwing at a bridge, hoping you miss it and hit a tree gap, and hyzerying left at a basket. Then hole 12 is just the most rediculous tight hole, the line is not beat in enough yet.

Overall I had a fun time playing, it was a windy cold day and with just a few modifications I would visit this course more often.
