Nice course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 18, 2016 Played the course:once

Pros:

Decent layout, nothing too long but definitely rewards accuracy and the ability to shape a shot. The benches are a real nice touch.

Cons:

Hole 1 plays along what becomes parking when the place is busy, and it's busy a lot, and you do have to play around non players, remember, this is a business first and a course second. One hole (8?, I lost track) plays downhill toward the vineyard and it could be easy to throw a disc away over the fence.

Other Thoughts:

I think this course will only get better, the owners here are awesome, remember to thank them and respect the course and the fact that they're running a winery here. Tee signs showing the hole layout would be nice, mostly the tee markers point you toward the basket but some of them had been moved for mowing and not replaced, it took us a while to figure out which way to go. The wines here are pretty good too, you can relax on the deck and have a drink after your round.

Pros:

This course is set on a private vineyard just outside of the Dells. The course is permanent and free to play. The tee areas are well marked and the flow is very easy to follow. No water but elevation is used very well. There's a good mix of uphill, downhill and left, right and straight shots for a 9 hole course. The course was well mowed and maintained. The baskets are brand new Mach 3's with number plates on top of them. These were all in excellent shape and caught well. there are nice wooden benches at every hole with the hole number carved in the backrest which helps you navigate the course too.

Cons:

Not much. Over time the tee areas could get pretty worn out but as of now they're in fine shape.

Other Thoughts:

This is a really fun course actually. I didn't know what to expect since I had never played a vineyard before. The design is real solid here and is a nice addition to an area with not too much else real close.

Lefty friendly 2+ years drive by

Pros:

Nice dga buckets, great scenery, nice surroundings. Plenty of room to grow. I like the design, fun shots. A few of them are kind of difficult.

Cons:

No pads. Otherwise great.

Other Thoughts:

Really impressed to see a course in the Dells area. It's 9 holes, but fun to play.

Lots of straight shots in dense woods. 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:May 25, 2016 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Tough but fair course through heavy woods on beautiful property. Great facilities on-site during business hours. Winery is open 11-5 daily and 11-7 weekends during summer months. Property provides room for the course to grow to 18+ holes.

Benches were recently added on every hole.

Cons:

Natural tees, only nine holes, and is very busy destination for wine drinkers on the weekends from Memorial Day to Labor Day and beyond depending on weather.
