Pros:
This course now has 18 concrete tees which play to 9 baskets for effectively 18 unique holes.
There are a decent number of trees which are well utilized to require a variety of shots and keep it challenging. And the big hill in the centre of the park is utilized well. There's enough space here for some long par 3s, with the occasional opportunity to rip a long drive. The baskets are great and the sunken tee markers are in good shape.
The park will take it's knocks being in such an urban area and not that hidden away, but truth be told it's actually clean and I've seen both city crews and local disc golfers cleaning it up.
As mentioned the trees create a challenge on most holes, but by the same token it's a forgiving course because when you miss a shot, you can approach the hole from any side to save par. You're not going to wind up deep in bushes with a lost disc here.
Cons:
The park is definitely not isolated, with a bit of traffic through it but a lot of traffic around the perimeter on the streets that border it. Frequently kids and/or homeless people hang out in the bushes on top of the hill, but not so much during the daytime.
You don't want to play here during the school year during lunch of after school, as there is a huge influx of traffic through the course at that time.
[UPDATE Sep. 2014: The natural tee pads are now concrete tee pads, and they're nicely done with circular pads on top of the hill. Upgraded my rating +0.5 as the pads are a nice improvement over the dirt pits.]
And figuring out the layout will certainly require a map your first time through, but at least you have the tee markers there once you've found the spot.
Other Thoughts:
It's not going to wow anyone, but it's worth playing to be sure. If you're a local, you would certainly play this once in a while for variety. If you're from out of town, I'd put this behind the other 3 courses (Baker Park, Old Refinery Park, and even 9 hole Thorncliffe)... but if you wanted to play them all there's no reason not to play this course, it's definitely decent.
