Great warm-up round for other courses in the area 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Nov 21, 2018 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

+ Great course equipment. The course is only a year or so old, so a highlight of the course is the new baskets, the fresh tee pads, the big course map at the beginning, and the tee signs. In this area, the course gets an A+

+ For nine holes with two tees, this course is great for beginners from the shorts and will challenge experienced players from the longs.

+ This area of the course is exclusive to disc golf. You won't have to worry about throwing around playgrounds, soccer fields, basketball courts, etc. However, there are places you can definitely drop off the kids to entertain themselves if they're getting annoying.

+ The design is pretty fun and safe. It starts and end by the parking lot.

Cons:

- This course is "park disc golf". What I mean by that, is that elevation change is minimal and trees are pretty sparse. However, the trees that are present are utilized well in the design.

- No real "wow" signature hole. It's just your standard central Illinois disc golf course.

Other Thoughts:

All in all, this is a great warm-up round for nearby courses such as the ones in Eureka, Morton, Pekin, or Peoria. If you're in the area, this is a quick one to bag, but it's definitely not a destination course. It is, however, a great and welcome addition to an already hopping disc golf scene.
