Pros:
-In decent condition, baskets, signs, etc.
-A couple of interesting drives.
-Not heavily used.
-Good for beginners.
Cons:
-Quite short, two holes just barely over 300, everything is possible to birdie.
-Grass/A few dirt tees.
-Close proximity other park activities.
Other Thoughts:
This course is pretty simple and short, but, as the two rating suggests, reasonable nonetheless. The courses are pretty sparse in this area of Minnesota, so if you find yourself in the Park Rapids area with some time to kill, it's worth a stop. There are a couple interesting uses of the moderate elevation changes the park has some obstacles such as trees, roads and the baseball fields.
Not anything to write home about, but a decent course that will keep intermediate players sharp if they want birdies and is quite accessible to beginners as well. Even mid summer the park isn't super utilized, so you will usually be out there alone. Not much traffic on the roads and I have net to see a baseball game on the diamond.
*Note: they did change the pin location on Hole 7 earlier this year, it used to be around the corner of a tennis court, it's been moved to the near side.
