Beginner Friendly Schoolyard option.

Reviewed: Played on:Mar 23, 2023 Played the course:once

Pros:

- Good Navigation with red pointed arrows (this may have been done after wellsbranch250's very complete review). I had no trouble at all.
- Efficient layout - holes connect well enabling fast play
- Baskets are in great shape

Cons:

- Dirt Tee pads except for the parking lot tees.

Other Thoughts:

Like the nearby Veterans Park, this course fills that beginner, noodle arm old guy (me) slot. The lack of slope and generally more open holes put this one more solidly in the beginner category. Intermediates will use this to course to practice upshots and putting. The open nature makes the wind more noticeable - which is good for putting practice.

There is potential for improvements - tee pads are #1, but some of the holes could have long pads added too. Might want to plant a few trees to add some shot shaping options. Maybe add a raised basket to hole 15, etc.

I'm not gonna ding the course for lack of scenery - it is a school course, so I expect some man-made obstacles. I'd likely play Veteran's Park more if I lived here, but having a variety of courses is a good thing for the area.

With the new 18-Hole layout makes the course fun and worth the trip drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 7, 2022 Played the course:once

Pros:

Low trafficNew BasketsGood variety of beginner to medium difficulty holes

Cons:

Grass and dirt teepads with some thrown off concrete. A few holes feel repetitive.Poor signage

Other Thoughts:

The new hole layout is a great improvement with a few holes that are difficult. The course flows well with the property available. This course is still a work in progress and I think permanent tees and better signs are on the way. Worth the trip if you are in the area.
