It's ok I guess 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 25, 2019 Played the course:once

Pros:

-nice for beginners
-well maintained. I would be surprised if a blade of grass is ever gets over 4"
-nice signs
-the trees as well as the slope of the berm provide challenge
-Intel security car did not stop me from playing even though they drove by a couple times

Cons:

-signs at tee pads are not always facing the basket
-signs all say Intel Employees Only
-no concrete tee pads
-intermediate and advanced players will be bored
-risk of discs going into a road/parking lot
-landscape maintenance crew may be in your way if you play during the morning

Other Thoughts:

Interesting place for a course. I give credit to Intel for putting in a course and giving the employees something fun to do outside. I do, however, wish they would make this a public course instead of keeping it to themselves. I wonder how many of them actually play?
I actually liked the layout fine other than the fact that to one side of the fairways you have a road and to the other side you have a parking lot. Gives you that scary/nervous feeling when you have an errant throw. I prefer courses where I spend a couple minutes in the trees/shrubs searching for my disc to ones like this where I say "Oh crap I just nailed that car, but at least I found my disc".

One last note is there is a small city park across the street with lots of toys for kids to play on.

Fun but frustrating course 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 15, 2017 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Some fun ace runs and challenging holes with multiple obstacles.

Challenging pin placements on slopes, so shot shape and landing angle are important. Roll-aways are always a worry.

Cons:

No poured concrete or gravel pads, so if it's wet, you're risking injury with a run up.

Serious drainage issues in the winter, making it essentially unplayable unless you're willing to lose a shoe or two to the mud.

Fun Little Course For The Intel Employees! 2+ years

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Oct 11, 2015 Played the course:once

Pros:

The Intel DGC plays along a fairly narrow strip of berm with street on your right and the parking lot street on your left being out of bounds. This green, wooded berm slopes down on both sides to the streets. Beginner type players will probably throw a couple of shots into the streets.

The course features nice, new, informative tee signs. Each sign shows hole #, par, length and a route map. The nice metal signs aren't all facing their baskets so player beware. These baskets are Discatchers with yellow bands. There are no numbers on any of the baskets. The tee pads are natural, worn on some holes but not so so much on others. I think the plan is to have two rocks by each tee sign to show the tee pad. I think the maintenance men who mow this have moved some rocks to make it easier to mow.
The course is easy to follow and a round can be played in 20-25 minutes.
The course is probably rated as a pitch and putt. There is only one hole longer than # 3's 226 ft.
My favorite hole was # 6, a 225 very tight anhyser shot which forces you to keep it low.

Cons:

No trespassing signs posted at each entrance. They say you'll be prosecuted if caught. Maybe have your hands cut off or your nuts removed. Neither is worth it.
Short pitch and putt length with hole ranges from 121 to 250 feet.
Slope of the berm could encourage rollaways.
No defined tee pads on several holes.
Course doesn't loop back to the beginning.

Other Thoughts:

If I worked here, then I would play a round every day at lunch.
The course is actually quite fun. There are a number of Ace Runs and a couple of challenging throws on # 3 & 6.

If you're willing to risk prosecution, jail time or loss of limbs, then by all means, come and check out this course.
