Keator Park DGC is a fantastic beginner course. Super short holes that can still be enjoyed by more experienced players by doing some work with putters and, possibly, a mid. I don't throw very far but threw putters off the tee on nearly every hole.

The baskets are brand new looking blue Dynamic Veterans. I just love the way these baskets look. They don't catch quite as well as some of the other premium baskets but they get the job done. One basket and pin position per hole.

Natural tees but all are in good shape. Nothing rutted out or uneven or anything like that. Basic but functional. And to be perfectly honest there's not really much of a need for any kind of crazy run up at this course.

The course incorporates trees on a number of holes which force some line shaping. No tunnel shots or anything, but at least it's not completely wide open for the full round either.

The flow is pretty easy to follow. Due to the short nature of the course every basket is visible from the tee. The round will take no more than probably 15 minutes for most players. Me and the wife were in and out of here in about that amount of time.

The tee signs are pretty basic, and just like most of the other courses in the area. Basic info. Hole #, par and distance. No map but every basket is in plain sight from the tee so not really necessary.

The park was in great shape, clean and the course is permanent and free to play.

While the course is very short and the navigation is pretty simple. Be sure you actually go to the tee area. There's numerous signs of the same size as the tee signs that warn park users of flying discs. I almost threw from one of these signs instaed of hole 2's tee. I almost did the same thing for hole 4 too.

Very, very short course. There's nowhere to open up and rip on some faster speed discs if that's your thing. Not really a con, moreso a warning if that's what you're into.

A couple holes play near other potential activities that could be going on. There wasn't anyone else in the park when we played but a hole or two may have to be skipped if others are using the park and unaware of the course or why you're throwing frisbees at bird feeders you weirdo.

Pretty fun little ace run, pitch and putt course with excellent equipment. Not a must play but there's not many better places to spend 15 to 20 minutes in my opinion.

Definitely worth a stop if you find yourself in the Polo IL area. There's a number of other courses not to far away so a whole day can be made of exploring this area. Just don't expect too much. Great for what it is, just not anything overly exceptional.

- Ace run city. Only will need a putter/approach and a 4 speed midrange at the very most.

- Quick bag with a round taking no more than 15 minutes.

- Brand new Veteran baskets that catch great. Basic signage that does the job. Baskets are within easy view so they do just fine.

- Perfect place to bring a newbie to learn how to throw.

- Very, very, very short. Anyone who isn't a beginner will have the most difficulty battling not falling asleep mid-round.

- Grass teepads which are never that great but when the holes are all less than 150 feet, they work just fine.

- Layout is pretty basic. Dead straight throws with minimal objects. Hole 1 is at least a decent downhill throw with some trees in the way.

Keator Park Disc Golf Course in Polo is a basic, small, beginner level course with not much really going for it. But hey, it's great to see another course up in Northern central IL. As always, this will be a very quick one for the course baggers and absolutely nothing to drive across states to play but overall, not a bad little course to bring your kids if they're wanting to learn how to play. Some cheap rubber teepads would go a long way but again, with such short holes I don't think teepads are honestly that necessary.
