Pros:
This course has good tees and adequate signage. Nice new DGA baskets too.
This would be a good learners course as disc loss should be very low here.
Hole 1-Dog leg to the right
Hole 2-Slightly downhill and to the left
Hole 3-Slightly uphill
Hole 4-Moderate length and downhill
Hole 5-uphill, more open on the right side
Hole 6-uphill and has some trees to make you shape a line
Hole 7-basket is behind a tree
Hole 8+9-moderate length and very wide open
Cons:
Holes 1-4 tee markers are directly next to the right rear of the tee pad. This makes it a little uncomfortable for a RHBH player. I'm just afraid someone might hit their hand on their follow through.
This is a very wide open course. There just aren't many trees here to define several of the holes.
#8's tee sign is facing the wrong way.
No trash cans or benches here. With this course being so wide open obviously its going to be super hot here in the summer.
Other Thoughts:
Trees have been planted on holes 1-4. This will help to make for more interesting holes but its going to take time for them to mature. If they were to expand this course to 18 holes the land that sits to the west of where holes 5-9 are at is completely bare. Personally I don't think that will make this course any better. They should concentrate on the 9 holes that they have and take the time to let the trees mature.
This isn't a destination course by any means but if you are passing thru on I40 and feel the need to throw here is another option.
