Pros:
Lincoln Drive Park is beautifully maintained, and has disc golf galore. The regular course is an 18 hole layout, and is easy to follow. Play is quick and easy, with every hole a par 3, and no serious rough or water hazards to hide discs.
The concrete tees are nice, and the tee signs are pretty good quality. The baskets are holding up nicely. Front and back 9 converge near the parking lot if you want to break it up and only play half the course.
There are enough mature trees to break up the most direct lines from tee to pin, while still leaving lots of airspace to get it there. Elevation is not totally absent, but rare. Hole 1 is a bit downhill, and 9 comes back up the hill.
Cons:
I like a little more in the way of woods and elevation changes, but beggars can't be choosers. Would certainly play this one often if I lived in Grand Forks.
Benches here and there could be a nice add. A course map would be nice too, but not a must. I nearly went from hole 7 to 12, I think. The signs have the next tee pointed out, so pay attention.
Other Thoughts:
The Regular at Lincoln Drive Course is nice, and a great warm up to play the Loop. I only hit one birdie, and finished at +3 (57). Not a super difficult course, and with a few reps and some luck, could easily be under par. Missed some easy putts, and had a few shots carry with the wind.
A great place for a disc golfer to spend some time. If you are nearby, give it a shot. My favorite hole was 9, a good hyzer drive for a RHBH player. The basket is protected in the middle of a stand of small trees on the side of a hill.
