Pros:
- beginner friendly
- 6 quality baskets
- numbered tee signs listing distance
- easy to follow, intuitive layout
- can be played in less than 20 minutes
Cons:
- not even a full 9 hole course
- hard to figure out the start for the course, it isn't near the front of the school which is the easiest place for a quick park and play for a course bagger
- super simple course, super short, super boring
- natural tees
- course boarders a neighborhood fence line at the beginning
- wide open, wind can greatly effect play
- no map
- limited access during school year
- course close to playground, street, and a school building
- baskets aren't level, many lean to one side or another
Other Thoughts:
This could very well be one of the most basic elementary school courses I've played. I scored a perfect -6 on it, just like Wells. The most important thing to know about the course is where it starts, which is at the far side of the school rec field, behind the baseball backstop fence line. The fairways are short, open, and clear of all possible obstacles. There's really not much to it. I used a putter and an overstable utility disc when the wind picked up. Clearly, it's best suited for children and or low powered beginners. I actually used this course as an opportunity to work on my flicks and thumbers, so it wasn't a total wash.
