Fun course on a small patch of land 2+ years

Pros:
Disc golf in Scotland!
The course is located in a beautiful corner of the Loch Monzievaird Self Catering Holidays resort with mature trees, elevation changes and some nice views to boot. The course is fairly easy to follow and most of the holes are challenging enough to keep you on your toes. Grab a map and score card from the office to help you find your way around.
Considering the small patch of land that the course sits on it is a surprisingly challenging course. The elevation changes on many of the holes make an otherwise short hole a lot more challenging. Hole 6 is a steep downhill hole that requires good disc control if you want to get near the basket. Hole 7 has one of the most challenging tee positions I've seen outside the USA with the green being on top of the ridge on the left and missing the green means trouble. For the most part the holes with elevation are the most fun to play, but even the flat holes bring some trees into play (mostly).
If you're used to competition level disc golf courses you'll probably be let down. If you're comparing this course to other disc golf courses in the UK you're in for a treat. This course is far more like a course you'd find in the midwest of the US than other courses I looked at in the UK. This is a short and technical nine holes that are just challenging enough to make it fun.

Cons:
The course is on a small patch of land, maybe a bit too wee for a full nine holes. Some of the baskets are too close to other tees, and some of the holes cross paths with others. Of course, when you're playing the course you're likely to be the only group out there so this isn't a huge issue. If the course were very popular I can see this being an issue.
The greens are basically trails that are mowed a couple of meters wide. Off the trails you'll find long grass that often makes finding your disc difficult. The course would be a lot nicer with more mowing, but I can understand why that isn't happening.

Other Thoughts:
The course is available to people staying in the cabins at the resort. We were not but my cousin in Perth contacted the staff at Loch Monzievaird and explained that some disc golfers from the US wanted to play a round and the staff were gracious enough to let us play.
