Pros:

Lutherhill DGC is a brand new course at Lutherhill Ministries camp. The course plays around the outskirts of the camp. Even though the distance may not be there, I felt as if the course had entirely different shots on each of the holes. There are holes that go right to left and some that go left to right.

There is a good amount of elevation (hence the camp's name being LutherHILL) on the course. This is prevalent on hole 8 where the tee throws off a hill towards the basket.

Since La Grange is away from the big city, the course and the camp has a great atmosphere and a great feel. There are a few walks from basket to hole but it is not too bad. Think of it as a walk through the woods rather than a burden of a walk.

Cons:

Temporary con: There are a lack of tee signs. Nice tee signs are on their way.

There are a few holes that could be altered in a way that would be more away from nearby cabins or cars. Hole 6 could use work as it is close to the cabin and discs on the roof IS a problem.
There are criss crossing fairways on 7-8. I am not sure if the course will have enough people playing at a time for a risk at hitting players from the 8th tee but it is something to keep an eye on.

Other Thoughts:

This course is a great course for new players that will come to the camp for summer camp. There are discs to borrow near the first hole and in my opinion the course is a perfect length for those newer players and it is long enough and tough enough for the most experienced player to be entertained.

This is a religious camp. If you are a passer by, be respectable of the course. Say hello to the nice folks at Lutherhill; they are all super friendly and will definitely show you around the course.
