Solid 9 holer with a few challenges 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 12, 2013 Played the course:once

Pros:

This is a good park style course that is good for beginners to learn on. Also this is a good course for a more advanced player to work on their midrange game. It has adequate foot bridges so back tracking to cross the drainage ditch isn't an issue. Has a little bit of elevation changes and does offer a slight water threat.
Flow is very logical and there are other amenities in this park. Playgrounds and a very nice swimming pool to name a few.
Here is a hole by hole run down:
1-Dog legs left and plays slightly downhill
2-Straight ahead wide open shot with a tennis court just behind the basket.
3-Slightly downhill shot, shooting over the drainage ditch.
4-Downhill shot with and elevated tee box. Plays over the drainage ditch. Has a playground on the right hand side of the fairway so be aware.
5-Has trees off the box with a lower ceiling and the drainage ditch coming into play as well. This is the best hole on the course in my opinion.
6-Basket is protected by a tree.
7-Throws across the drainage ditch with a protected basket.
8-Has a big tree off the box to throw around and a pavilion on the left hand side of the fairway.
9-Throws uphill and has a gap to hit to reach the basket.

Cons:

Dirt tees are a bit compacted and might become slick after a hard rain. Wind will most likely factor in on most holes here because of the openness of the course.
#3's basket is only 10-15ft away from #4's tee, for me its just not a good thing. I don't see this course being crowded but safety while putting and teeing off needs to be factored in when designing a course. This also happens again on #7's basket and #8's tee, so please be careful.
There are a couple of roads that come into play on some holes so watch out for passing cars before you throw.

Other Thoughts:

This isn't a disc golf exclusive course and could be busy upon your visit. Watch out for kids on the playground equipment and passing cars before you throw. Overall a pretty solid 9 hole course in a nicely kept park. You could play multiple rounds here in a reasonable amount of time. If you are passing thru the area then stop by and play this course. Maybe you have someone that you would like to introduce to the game, then this is a good place to take them to learn the game.
