Pros:
Excellent variety: Some wooded corridors, some open holes, and as many variations in between that one can imagine. Every hole had a unique feel. The course makes good use of the park's ample space, with throws that stray from the fairways resulting in more recovery shots than lost discs.
The more courses I play, the more I am impressed by the level of balance / calibration of Moriane. All of the par 3s, 4s and 5s seem to play properly as such. I find myself referring to this course as a particular example of how to design and set par for a championship level course. It really is a masterpiece.
Cons:
No signs or yardage available on the new white tees. Some of the signs for the other tees may need updating as well.
Other Thoughts:
Moriane's reputation lead me to believe I was going to be destroyed here, but from the new white tees I found it quite fun, even a little on the easy side. But for those who want more the course offers more, up to the very long gold tees. It can be as easy or difficult as you want it to be.
Update: The addition of rubber pads for all of the tees gets this course bumped up to a 5.0. This is the best course I have ever played.
