The only known course in Knox County 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Oct 9, 2020 Played the course:once

Pros:

This course was well laid out with clearly marked tee signs and numbers on the baskets. The park is a well maintained.

Cons:

Hole 7 either requires a throw over a part of the lake, or an extra throw or 2 around the lake. An errant throw or a strong breeze out of the south will cause a corn field along the northern border of the park to become a hazard for Hole #3.

Other Thoughts:

This is a great alternate course for the students at Truman State University. The course is a 15 to 20 minute drive from the campus.

Not a 5 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Mar 20, 2017 Played the course:once

Pros:

this is a scenic DG course that plays around, and over the lake on hole 6.. Dirt tees , informative signs and dual tees. Fun course that uses what few trees surround the lake as obstacles. outhouse and pavilion near hole 1. Many bird ops if you can drive 350 ft or more.

Cons:

not many cons really...it is flat terrain since it's around a lake.

Other Thoughts:

looks like there is room for 9 more holes if desired. This is in the M.O.N.. Middle of Nowhere.. You might be able to play naked.

Best course in the area! 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jan 14, 2017 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Clearly marked long and short tee pads with great flow from tee to basket throughout the lake area. Nicely guarded baskets on most holes, especially hole 6, that one is insane!

Cons:

Grass tee pads with stone indicators, but concrete pads will be coming in spring I hear so this isn't really a con. Altogether a great course!

Other Thoughts:

I would recommend this course to anyone, beginner through advanced, looking for an all around fun and challenging course in the area. Tight technical through open power drives, this course will test every shot in your bag!
