Pros:
Unique setting in a pecan orchard.
They used the land to the best of their ability.
Gateway Titan baskets are pretty awesome.
Cons:
No elevation changes.
Back 9 feels like the same hole over and over again.
There was a pond in the middle of the back 9(from the rain, but you can tell it stays that way pretty often)but none of the holes took advantage of it.
0 NexTee signs made for a difficult time navigating, quite a bit of backtracking.
Other Thoughts:
Overall, the front 9 was pretty fun but the back 9 was a letdown, that's where the lengthy holes are,a true par five, and a few par fours.
After we played the entire 18 once,we continued to play the front 9 twice more.
The back 9 is truly just the same hole over and over again,I get that it is a pecan orchard,so it's to be expected, rows of trees with space inbetween, but there was still some other slight variations in land to make it more interesting, but they failed to do so.
We played when it was pretty windy, and since it was very open it was a very interesting round,I think for anyone just getting started,or anyone in the immediate area, playing the front 9 twice would definitely be enough,or even making some of your own holes using the small water and some more interesting routes.
Also something else to add, there are no trashcans and I believe there was a bench maybe around hole 12 or 13,don't quite remember.
For the front 9,you won't need anything besides a putter and a midrange on a couple, but if you were to play the back you will need something a bit more, there are a 3-4 500+ Including a 650 & 820 foot par five's,but you won't need anything for line-shaping,it's all the same.
