Pros:
-decent holes and layout for a campus pitch & putt
-tee stones indicate hole number, distance, and a basic flight path. most are at the edge of a sidewalk (or a curb on hole 1) and help navigating the course but you need to know where to look. the uDisc map works well
-discatchers in good condition
-the grounds are pristine and the lush grass is mowed
-a few fun little ace runs
-an easy course for first-timers or beginners
Cons:
-private, rarely accessible for anyone not associated with the school
-definitely not playable during school hours most of the year even if you don't get asked to leave by security, it plays straight through this small campus
-obvious safety hazards playing through a campus, most baskets are close to a sidewalk and multiple holes cross a sidewalk or two
-few obstacles
-hole one is really close to a building
Other Thoughts:
This course is private and limited to SNU students, faculty, alumni, and their guests. I walked on campus with a Buzzz and a Wizard aware that I might be asked to leave so I wanted to get through the course swiftly. I looked up the map on uDisc beforehand and that helped finding the stone tee markers pretty quickly.
The course plays on and around the patches of lawn between school buildings. Half of the holes are under 200' and the rest are in the 240'-280' range. Most of them are very open or maybe a tree or two to beat. Hole 3 has a number of trees with a low ceiling and is easily the toughest hole on the course, followed by hole 6 with its protected green. There are a few short ace runs on holes 2, 7, and 8. The baskets are in good condition and the tee areas are mostly concrete sidewalk.
There are a bunch of sidewalks in play as well as buildings and a road. It's not likely to be a problem since if you are playing here then there probably won't be many people around campus. But, obviously, use caution and defer to all pedestrians. Hole 1 has a building that is in play on the right side and the awning and railing of an entrance is the main obstacle directly in front of you. It's another short ace run but be careful on that one.
If you're playing at an appropriate time with a school-affiliated person then this course is a fun stroll through a beautiful campus. You can take your time, play a few rounds, hunt aces, or see how close you can get to -9. If you're sneaking on to bag it then a late afternoon in the summer is probably your best bet. Overall, pretty well done for a short campus course but not worth it for anyone other than course baggers or students, probably as a social, on-campus pastime.
