Pros:
Aesthetic-- plays on the grounds of an elementary school. over a sledding hill and through the athletic fields. Watch out for kids, and play only when they are not running their cute little hearts out.
Teepads/teesigns- nice and concrete, the teesigns list a lot of cardinal directions in describing the hole and have a compass rose on them to help distinguish what direction is what. Teesigns do NOT have distances on them.
Upkeep- the grass is so long here, even on the putting green it's >1' tall... a lot of holes play down existing walking paths or 2-tracks.
challenge/variety- this is pretty good here. This is a real course with real challenge. Most holes are blind and require accuracy to not end up in really thick shule. the tunnel shot through the poison ivy field was "interesting" to say the least.
Cons:
Teesigns- nice as an educational piece but that's about it. they aren't really all the informative as to the distances you are throwing.
Routing and nav- Even with the map, this course is tough to navigate. #2 has no logical relation to the position of #1 or #3 and it rediculously short. The fact that the upkeep here is terrible doesn't help the routing.
upkeep- miserible. the grass is so long on the first few holes and the poison ivy is so heavy on the tunnel shot. at least it's warned on the tee sign.
Danger- real danger here if you play with the kids around. be careful!! try to play when school isn't going on!
Other Thoughts:
the upkeep lost a full disc for me. it's really bad out there...
this is a nice course, just in a bad bad location!
