Pros:
- Good mix of holes left to right/right to left
- Distance challenges those that throw 300-350 feet
- Lots of trees stand in your way of birdies or pars
- Easy to follow mostly, look for the next tee sign or tee pad
- Church members excited for disc golfers I was told
- Fun course, and shouldn't take too long to complete
- Will likely have the place to yourself
Cons:
- Natural grass pads are ugly and slippery
- Some overlapping of fairways which is weird considering how much land they have to work with; seems unnecessary
- Axiom lite baskets are flimsy, in fact one of them had fallen over while I was there and was broken
- Standing water in early January made for a miserable round
- Can't play on Sundays
Other Thoughts:
The church courses where I'm from aren't nearly this good, residents of Texarkana, and disc golfing members of the church should consider themselves lucky to have this little hidden gem. Certainly not a destination course but if you're in Texarkana anyway you should take the 30 minutes it takes to play here and cross it off the list.
