Fun Course at the Winery 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 24, 2021 Played the course:once

Pros:

- very good directional signage
- very good mix of open and wooded holes
- holes were required shots for up hill, to the right, some to the left, straight
- very manageable water hole and another fenced hole that provided some risk/ reward
- lots of scenic holes with interesting basket placements ( no holes were boring)
- some nice wide open longer shots with basket tucked in the woods or long shots starting in the woods but mostly open
- dinosaur sightings
- bathroom s and drinks on sight (including non-alcoholic)

Cons:

- tees are gravel not cement
- good directional signage but no hole signage ( there are sticks by the tees that have hole number but no pars on them)
- no pars given at the holes or the score card
- the path to hole 17 leads right down the fairway of an earlier hole
- hole 18 has an impassable fence to the right of the fairway. Really good disc golfers might not have a problem with it and might even see it as a very good risk reward opportunity but the average player may lose their disc.

Other Thoughts:

I was really impresses with the directional signage. It was the first time I played the course and had no problem navigating the course. ( except for finding the first hole). I really enjoyed every hole and experienced every kind of disc golf targets. ( water, woods, hills, etc) Hole 18 was a little scary ( I did not play it) It seemed it was very easy to throw a disc over the fence and I would not be getting it back. If you are local, the staff could probably get it for you and get it back to you. Hole 18 did look interesting just not worth the risk for me since I was not local. Overall I enjoyed the course very much. If it had signs with pars and cement tees I would probably give it a 3.5 rating. It is also at a winery so there is lots of other stuff to do to.
