Pros:
Large Map on arrival, incase you haven't downloaded one already
Purpose built Gravel Tee's
Baskets well maintained
Warning signs along all paths to warn residents of flying discs
A great place to practice Risk/Reward golf.
Cons:
If you are unlucky enough to venture into the bushes, be aware of the VERY thorny plants which border the course. I think acupuncture is actually more pleasant.
Other Thoughts:
An extremely well laid out course, which was easy to follow and a joy to play.
The course winds its way around the park and leads its way up to the final hole, and elevated tee over water!
Hole 1: A dogleg left, but no cutting the corner as there is a Mando to avoid people throwing over the gardens or flats.
Hole 2: A dogleg right. You cannot see the basket from the tee, but check before you throw as there could be people sat having a picnic.
Hole 3: A long hole which hugs the edge of the field. The spikey bushes and other plants will swallow your disk if you give them the chance. I suggest you play out into the grass to give you a better chance of playing back to the basket. On my visit the basket was half encased in a bush, but im guessing it just hadn't been pruned for a while as the rest of the course was in superb condition.
Hole 4: OB right, paths and benches to avoid too. You have to be very accurate here to make your par.
Hole 5: Play from the tee, which is hidden in the trees. Basket is round the corner of the hedge (OB if crossed), in a large open area.
Hole 6: A new path has been added since the hole map was done. Basket is set high on the ridge, which can make your second shot tricky. Be aware of the sharp drop off behind the basket down to the lake!
Hole 7: A virtually straight hole, Basket is tucked in behind the final tree down the right.
Hole 8: Tee off from the line drawn on the path, (be aware this is about 30ft from where the hole map is). Basket is set on a very acute ridge. Any miss throw and you disk will roll away to the bottom.
Hole 9: From an elevated tee, you will throw over a pond to the left hand mound. The trees have been allowed to grow here which can make your shot choice difficult. No real route available where you can miss the lake out completely
