Pros:
- Nine holes in a small park just off Knox's main drag (Hwy 35). Park is multiuse, with skatepark, several playgrounds, splashpad, ballfields, bathrooms, and pavilions, etc. Follow the park road to the back of the ballfields, and park in the lot with the disc golf sign. Course plays under a nice shady canopy of large trees. These tree trunks serve as the main source of fun here, as they provide a bit of good line shaping, especially in the distances for beginners, but not enough to get into any real trouble, and there's not really much in the way of schule except in one or two spots.
- Okay signage, decent baskets, and good
tee pads (nice concrete affairs). Nice mix of hole lengths from low 200's to 340'.
- Property is flat, but the designer still got a slight rise on #5's green area.
- Good for families, beginners, or for one disc putter rounds.
Cons:
-Several of the fairways are a bit close together.
- The schule to the left of the fairway on hole #s 3 & 4 is thick with poison ivy. There's easily enough room to avoid this but only if you throw into the other hole's fairway.
- Multiuse park means conflicting activity traffic, and here it seems the walking paths coupled with the park roads are the main source of contention. But there could also be conflict with the skate park and definitely the volleyball courts.
- Main safety issue is the slide to the left of hole #4's fairway.
Other Thoughts:
- Reasonable enough from a design and play standpoint.
- Slightly questionable in a few spots on safety and conflict with other park activities.
