A great idea for this hole is to go left. Not into the brush, but far enough into the area that doesn't have any trees to the left of the basket. This gives you an open shot at the basket rather than having to throw through trees, which is hard to do!
A good option for this hole is to make sure from the tee that your drive gets to the right of the tree line down the hill. If your drive goes left, you will have a tough time getting distance as well as clearing all the trees in order to get to the basket.
Depending upon wether the basket is in pin position a or b is an important thing to know. For pin A, throw over the berm and go for the distance. You can birdie with a great drive that doesn't make it all the way to the pond. For pin B, which is an illogical place to put a basket if you ask me, you should go for it all on the drive. For your second shot, you can either throw over the pond and hope you make it through the brush or you can go around the pond to the right. The second option is more safe from losing a disc, but can add more strokes.
You gotta throw straight on this one. Technicality is key rather than distance on this short hole. The creek is tough to get in to retrieve, so keep that in mind. Some players throw to the right all the way around the brush, but it is hard to par when doing this.
You can throw straight up the gut if you want but I have found it easier to throw a really big fadeing disc to the left or right of the treeline and having it fade back to the middle for a nice birdie putt.
13 is a tricky hole, depending upon where the basket is placed. 2 tees, two pin positions. On this hole you have to make certain that you throw straight because the pond is almost impossible to get discs out of when it is full.
On hole 9, there is a walking trail that on a nice day, will have many people on it. Dont hit anyone! Also, if the wind catches your disc and fades way left into the creekish thing, it is very hard to get your disc back (I know because it happened to me and I never found it.)
On hole 8, the second pin placement doesnt exist and never will so it will always be short. Get a shot that doesnt go to short and fades a bit left so you can get an easy birdie!
