His need to call out every slight just screams “small-time” to me. You’re new to a sport and you’re outspoken and opinionated, of course you’re going to have detractors. Rise above it. Go to the event, win it, and then troll them about it when you’re hoisting the trophy in their backyard. That’s...
Brodie is very vocal about a sport he's new to, which is what seems to bother some people. We're talking about someone very motivated, very extroverted and very driven. I suspect it's all part of the package and he's not going to shy away from saying what he thinks. He reached the top of one...
Has anyone who owns a Pound bag tried spraying it with permethrin?
I own a Pound Octothorpe and I'm considering doing this, but I'm worried about the permethrin damaging the bag. I messaged Pound and they admitted they weren't sure about this.
I guess I had notifications turned off and forgot about this thread until just now. Lots of replies I'm just seeing now.
I have pulled more ticks off me this year (all dog ticks) than ever before. Stony Creek, Lyon's Den and now Grizzly. I know better than to play Grizzly this time of year...
As said above, just in case it might come in handy if I do get sick. This one is pretty clearly a dog tick, so Lyme is not a concern, but they carry other nasty stuff.

I pulled a tick off my back after a round today. Nothing surprising about that. But I wanted to compare it to one that I had found on me back on May 7th. I had put that one in a Ziploc bag and it stopped moving the next day. So I assumed it was dead. Except when I look at it today, to compare it...
I guess my upper limit is 90 and lower limit probably about 20. I've played in single digits and didn't enjoy it much. I actually love temps around 40 degrees if the course is dry. I get too hot easily. When the temps are at 40 degrees or so, I can put on a hoodie and I'm cold for a couple...
Hawk Woods Nature Center DGC?
Looks like a small, 5-hole course has been installed in the Hawk Woods Nature Center in Auburn Hills. I haven't played yet, but I work a short drive away and one of my co-workers told me he saw some baskets there. This might be a place I could go throw on a lunch...
Man, this time last year Discraft was looking like a dinosaur. Their roster was lacking top current players, their website was a mess and the ads they had been running on the live streams were laughable in all the worst ways. Talk about turning things around! I'm happy Paige is getting paid...
I'm similar power and I have very limited use for my Firebird. I wouldn't have bothered to buy one, but I found one a few years ago, no ink on it, so I kept it. It is purely a specialty disc for me. For most forehands and backhands where I need an overstable disc, my max weight, Metal Flake...
It's already been said that the absolute best in any given discipline tend to be obsessed to the point where it's probably not healthy. I agree with that.
Simon seems pretty happy-go-lucky in his approach to disc golf, and life in general. That's more important than winning tournaments, I...
I'm not surprised to see James Conrad doing so well. But the rest of the leaderboard looks like someone just drew names out of a hat. Have the changes to the course introduced a lot of randomness or is it just what it is?
Yeah. That type of thing is almost impossible to predict. It's not about raw physical gifts or even having a good head on one's shoulders. It's about remarkable consistency, round after round, in hundreds of tournaments, over many years. I don't even know what to attribute that kind of success...
