Also, apparently the Proto 500 plastic D2 Pro is more overstable than an X1, with the PLH being about 1/4 inch higher than the stock run.
Fuse is available at Latitude64.se online store, they deliver to USA.
Hades is a Paul McBeth line disc, thus those are all going to have his signature on them. The Z plastic, to my knowledge, was a limited DGLO run.
Does anyone know what the new PDGA approved D2s are all about? Based on the numerical values, the height has dropped a little and the inside rim diameter has increased slightly. Does that mean a bump down in disc speed rating?
I've had a similar experience with my Magma Hard Kea and Cosmic Kea, although the Magma one has a huge dome (especially for a putter), yet the Cosmic one is totally flat, maybe even slightly puddle topped. The Magma one flies about 15m (50ft) further on a straight line.
Suspects, especially the Lucid-X plastic ones. Discovered them too late and currently I'm only bagging one. The few that go on sale are $50+ around here used, even more for new ones.
How or where would one be able to get a proton envy these days? I picked one up last year and started to really like it, haven't been able to find another one at or close to max weight in about a year. A local shop has 2 at 161g and 167g, but based on my experience with a lighter proton eclipse...
It's not mine, just a pic from google images. I've thrown a few some years ago, as far as I can remember, their domes were on the modest side.
The Missilens I've seen have all been board flat though, so if it has some dome, it's more likely a Raketen.
Does the disc have any inscription under...
I'd lean more towards Raketen actually:
However, the only picture of Missilens wing profile I could find has a low quality (Missilen)
Have you thrown the disc? That would be an easy way to differentiate: Raketen is quite flippy, while Missilen is rather overstable.
Cool. I'll probably check them out once the pricing is a bit more reasonable on this side of the world, currently shipping costs more than the discs for me :\
Are all their discs super-overstable, given they all have Tilt-level PLH due to the manufacturing process? Or do they have any straightish / understable ones as well?
My bad, I forgot the MD1 and MD were different discs. I'd still say it's an MD though, based on these pictures with patent numbers:
Pic 1, Pic 2.
It seems to be an older run though, probably in the first or second year of its release.
MDs were approved in November 2006 https://www.pdga.com/technical-standards/equipment-certification/discs/md1-midrange-driver
The profile of the wing seems exactly like MD to me.
It's definitely because of the warped flight plate. I bag quite a few D2s, they're quite similar to Destroyers. The 400 and 400G plastic fly similar to a McBeth Destroyer, 500 and 750G tend to be just a tad more understable and have less fade, more similar to an Avery Destroyer (based on my...
