im going to stick with my truth until i can grab an uplink. I took the truth out to a rock yesterday and beat the crap out of it so it should work for now
For me, I use a slightly beat star teebird as my main, accurate, straight driver, then for max distance I hyzerflip my heat. Thunderbird is more for uphill or into the wind drives, or also utility shots.
I got a 172g champ thunderbird for my overstable DD and I can attest to the 9|5|0|3. I can throw it straight for about 225-250 feet (my max is 300) and then it dumps on me hard to the right.
yea until i can get my hands on an uplink im just gonna use the prime truth. I went out today and just beat the crap out of it so it should be quite understable now.
Yea your right i should have clarified. The mids I currently bag are a 180 champ mako3, 174 revive warship, and 180 eclipse reactor. I also have a prime truth, but I don't like the feel cuz its beaded. I would be looking for a weight heavier than 170 and small diameter cuz my hands are stupid...
My rivers are in this state of beatness that gives me a touchy understable flight every time. If I get it wrong it's turning and buring but if it's right it sails forever.
I am finishing up my bag and the midranges I have that are understable is a beat in prime truth which I don't like the feel, and a beat in DX mako3 which is 150g. Any other reccomendations? Btw the prefix has nothing to do with it.
I used to use a heat (which has the same turn and fade as sidwinder) for straight shots. Now that my arm speed has progressed, its a great turnover disc that compliments my river.
for me a power grip feels stable and powerful. It also makes the disc a bit harder to control so maybe use a three finger grip for more accuracy. No, using them on putters and mids is perfectly fine as long as it works.
Ok thanks. I happened to be in the area of a new pro shop in PA so I thought I'd check it out. Now that I think about it I should have just met in the middle and got an FD or river (which is what I had before) and saved myself a few bucks. I guess what I might do is beat in the teebird to...
