Thank you for your kind words. I'm still a beginner. I use Rit brand fabric dye and Contact Paper from the grocery store. I cut with an X-Acto knife. The dye is permanent and hasn't faded at all.
If you'd like to try it yourself, this site has a wealth of information for dyeing discs. It's where I learned to do it. Check out the sub-forum in the Equipment section that's for dyeing. I would recommend you trying your first couple dyes on your less favorite discs as I got quite a bit of bleeding while working on my technique. Also, long, smooth cuts are the way to go as opposed to shorts. You can see the effects of that on the butt part of the mudflap lady on my Groove.
