Greetings, fellow Disc golfer. This is my first time on the site since last year. The only new course I hit up since July 21 was Countryside Park in Portage, Indiana. If you ever want to hit up the awesome course in Valparaiso, Countryside Park is worth a stop. You may not want to drive from the Western burbs just to hit up Countryside. Valparaiso and Countryside together is definitely worth a 70 to 80 mile trip. Have you played that course in Batavia yet. Rex below and I were thinking about hitting it up if we are out near Campton Hills this year.
How goes it, Zeppelin. Sidewinder below is a friend of mine. I was with him that day in June. The traffic that day was horrible. Hope you enjoyed a summer full of disc golf. I am keeping my fingers crossed we do not get too much snow this winter. I am fine with playing in the cold but searching for discs in deep snow after a perfectly straight drive is not my idea of fun.
How's it going? I have not been on this site since April. Thanks for the invitation at Kress Creek Farms but I hit that up along with Campton Hills and the the courses in Naperville and Geneva back in June with my buddy rexdiscus below. I could not believe how messed up Routes 38 and 64 were. The disc golf was fun that day, but getting from one destination to the next really sucked. Hope you have had some fun disc golfing this summer.
I am not sure when I will be out that way again, but I will keep the invitation in mind. My buddy rexdiscus and I stopped there on the day before Thanksgiving after hitting up Knoch Knolls. It looked like a big chunk of the course was roped off. We heard machinery so we figured it was a no go. We were disappointed. We wound up driving out to Geneva to play at Wheeler Park. Like Rex said below we did play at Channahon last Sunday. I do not want to even try to play today with all the recent flooding. I hear most of DuPage County really got slammed.
I have read a few of your reviews. You do a good job breaking it down. If it is not pouring down rain tomorrow afternoon, my buddy Sidewinding Hill and I are going to be playing in Channahon. The Joliet area offers a lot of good disc golf within a ten mile radius. I hope you get a chance to get out yourself. This has been a pretty crappy spring so far. I play disc in cold weather, but i would like some short sleeve days.
i like your review on trinity! that course has come a long way and its about time it gets some recognition. BTW that bum you were referring to is Dale, a patient at trinity. I felt the same way initially, but he's cool.
