Ithaca
This is a nice, typical course in an unlikely location, though not too far north from Lansing. My first impression was that it was too nice for the amount of traffic it seems to get. Which, of course is a good thing. I'm sure the word will get out soon and more people will come to play...

This is a Very well maintained course, its somewhat open and very hilly. My first thought was that it looked kind of like a golf course, the fairways were mowed grass, and it was well marked. Most of the holes are long, the biggest measuring in at about 675".
It's right in town and behind a high...
There is alot of stoners that go to MSU here in east lansing, so we have 4 head shops that sell discs, one of them is fully stocked with bags, gear, and baskets.
It's called "In Flight". get it....;)
If your target demographic is age 14-60 you always want to aim for the low end of the spectrum, because young people are the ones who are buying product and setting the trends. Snowboarding is enjoyed by people of all ages now and the demographics are similar to disc golf, yet it is still...
I've tried to find a clear definition for a "hyzer flip", and so far I've had no luck. I think it refers to all shots that are thrown with either hyzer or anhyzer but with enough spin or height for it to fly in an s-curve or a variation of one, usually resulting in more D. For instance, I throw...

sandy pine forest
It's a nice looking course, close to lake Michigan and is not usually crowed. It has a very "northern" feel, so if you like to travel and play this is a good one. It's also close to Ludington and Grand Rapids which have some nice courses too.
No good for beginners.
Lots of...

MSU
If you live in the East Lansing/ Lansing area this place is very convenient, being it located next to all of the major highways. There is three nice tunnel shots, the first one is the best with a low ceiling, a slight uphill for the first 100' or so then dropping of steep with a slight right...

Madness
Many difficult shots, and in close proximity to other courses. There is lots of variance in design, # 16 is a crazy hard right dog leg shot that requires either a huge hyzer or a very tall thumber to get over the trees.
Gets busy after 4ish and needs trash cans. No water hazards.
There...

Birdies and mosqitoes
This is a very short course and is entirely wooded. Every hole is lined tight with trees but most are straight and short giving away lots of birdies if your accurate, But leaving you in think brush if your not. This is a fun course to play with just a putter, and there...
170 and 175 teebird (champ and star of each weight)
160somthing TL for straight drives
175 firebird for sidearm, sidearm rollers, thumbers, and long hyzers
172 champ leopard for turn overs
These are my go to discs (for now). I'm not sure why I like these discs, they just seem to be consistent...
Yea, I was actually going to go to tittabawassee park about a week ago, but we got stuck at chippawa banks in midland by the time we left it was dark already. I have a buddy in mt. pleasant so I'm sure I'll be going there soon. I'm saving the mason county park trip for a whole weekend so we can...
