When I lived and played in phoenix, most of the courses needed a driver and a putter for the most part. Now I live in Flagstaff, I rarely use my distance drivers and mostly use speed 9 and lower.
I carry one extra of each of my drivers, maybe a gram or two difference. I have 3 putters similar mold, but different plastic for driving, further out approach, and one for close putting.
I carry extras just in case I lose one I have one in the bag.
The group I was part of in Phoenix valley does a lot of cool leagues. We do a pop up league, basically go to a random park or other public land and bring portable baskets and create our own courses. Another one wr do is rootbeer float league. Put in 2 bucks, afterwards the winner gets the money...
I don't change my discs out very often. The only time I do is if the disc stops working for me such as my form improves and that forces me to get a driver that now works as my new stable or understable driver. Then I buy several for backups.
I used to change discs alot, but once I found the...
IM headed up to flagstaff on Sunday 7/20. Ill be there until Wednesday. Anyone wanna throw a round? Send me a PM. I have an Apt up there, so I am up there a lot now a days.
depending on wind and how wide the gap actually is would determine the disc. I can throw my lat 64 striker about 300 feet and have it go straight with no fade. If I don't mess up the direction, it should be good. If I don't feel comfortable doing that, I would probably throw my truth.
I use the merrell moad mid boots. Ive had them since probably around Sept-Oct timeframe. On a good week, I play at least 8 rounds if not more. My average is usually around 6 or so. My boots still really new. There is very minimal wear on the right sole compared to the left. I usually destroy...
good luck with that. If I were to ever do that, I know exactly which dg course I would use. When I played it last year or so, I could almost get to the basket on hole 1 from the basket on hole 18(I could put it in the circle now). Very boring course, but minimal distance between each hole.
Long- Chainsaw. j/k Id try to throw a truth down the tunnel until I got through, then I'd have to choose the approach disc depending on my lie.
Short- I would probably use my verdict depending on the ceiling. If it is a really low ceiling, I would probably use my xxx.
when I know I am going to bag the disc, I ink them up with my name, number, "beer or $ reward if found" heavily. If it is inked up a lot, people tend to not want it. I usually get my discs back. I buy discs to throw, not to sell or trade. I have a few spare discs I keep to let new comers borrow...
