Review by rflahive in course Gypsum Creek DGC

4.00 star(s) A test... Beautiful grassy golf course. Challenging greens. Carts! Nice diversity of holes. Super tight fairways and OB--good shots were often penalized by a roll or skip. Baskets were a bit worn--I would expect better baskets for a course of this caliber. Great golf course layout--this...

3.00 star(s) A few great holes Bordered by a river, nice practice setup with 2 permanent baskets and a four-way practice net. Many of the holes were very similar in length and line. Fun muni course and well maintained by the local club.

Review by rflahive in course Ski Santa Fe DGC

3.50 star(s) Great views and physically strenuous The views atop Santa Fe Ski basin are fantastic. There are some great holes--#1, #5, #8, #12, #13, #16, and #18. It offers a mix of long downhill floaty shots and large forehand pulls--and lots of opportunity for big arms to go over everything with thumbers...

Review by rflahive in course Poncha Springs

3.00 star(s) Shorty Great surroundings, good equipment, and well groomed--somebody loves this course! The signs were excellent and the paths were well marked. Too short but a good use of the land. A bunch of blind shots slowed down the round due to sneak peaks. Shot 6 down and should have been double digits...

Review by rflahive in course Burns Park - Blue

4.00 star(s) Much better than the Red Course... great distance shots mixed with obstacles, OB, and vegetation--I prefer longer (more difficult) courses, and this fits the bill. Ditch the Red Course, Man-Up and throw the Blue... way finding from 14 basket to 15 tee could be improved--as could 12 basket to 13...

4.00 star(s) Righty forehand paradise... Good topography; nice mix of vegetation; good signage and directions SHORTY! If you throw right handed and don't have a forehand...you're in trouble on this course....the design is typical of a course that is biased towards lefties...and meant to frustrate righty...

Review by rflahive in course Pioneer Park DGC

3.50 star(s) a nice little course Good mix of holes. Hole #1-2 are longer Par 4's that give you a chance to score right out of the box. # 3 is a aceable par 3 with a good forehand. #4 is a long par 4 (even though it reads par 5 on the sign)--fairly boring hole--but tough to birdie if the wind is blowing. #5...
