I either use idye red or the new rit liquid pink to get the skin tones stated. Then I see what it may need to make it better. For Rick, I added a quick touch of black (less than 1 min) and then purple (about 2 min) to get it right.
So when I did one of these I first dip dye black lines, next I added the backround and then I started to paint in the various areas using my same liquid Idye. (I do not use soap as a thickener like many others do) It is a long process and takes a lot of time to get right. For some things, like Morty's shirt, I actully used "quick coat worm dip" but as it is acetone based, if you touch any of the black lines it will bleed. (I also used this to get the yellow on the pink batman disc). While it takes a lot of time it is the best way that I have found to do it.
Thanks
