Pros:

Or "A Long Drive For A Short Course". Keep going, you will get there eventually! Enjoy the ride through most of Ava Maria! When you arrive you will be greeted with a pristine park (everything in Ava Maria seemed pristine) with a somewhat unusual disc golf course. The course features grass tees, nice tee signs, and blazing pink baskets. The lengths (in yards for some reason) range from very short to the low side of mid-range. There are a few trees and man-made obstacles to shape around. The pars range from 3 to 6. That's right. This course has a par six that's some 390'. One of my crew got his first Albatross! I thought something was a little off when hole one was a 360' par 5. I am all for rec par but haven't seen pars like this since the 1980s. The course is set in a very pretty park with a large pavilion and restrooms. Navigation is flawless and the course was fun to play.

Cons:

I'm not sure where they were going with the pars on this course. Even for rec's and children, they are ridiculously high. It almost seemed like someone that doesn't really know disc golf designed this course?

Not a lot of shade. Bring lots of water and bug spray (parts of the course border raw jungle).

Other Thoughts:

Even so as a rec/neighborhood course this one is pretty nice. I think my wife and casual throwing children will really like this one, as did I!
